Barbara Emile is currently producing 15' film, GENERATIONAL, for Greenacre Films/ITV as part of the channel's UNSAID STORIES strand inspired by Black Lives Matter. GENERATIONAL written by Jerome Bucchan-Nelson and directed by Alrick Riley explores the relationship between a black father and daughter. When William catches his teen-age daughter, Justina, sneaking out, the usual scenes of antagonism between parent and child follow. However, it soon transpires that Justina is sneaking out to a Black Lives Matter march. What follows is an enlightening, but bitter sweet conversation for both. But as the conversation progresses and elements from the fatherís past come to the fore their positions evolve and change and they find some common ground. Filming on the four 15-minute films starts in London from 27th July, adhering to the TV and film production guidelines to ensure the safety and well-being of the cast and crew.

SKELTON'S GUIDE TO DOMESTIC POISONS

DAVID STAFFORD'S FIRST NOVEL IN 2-BOOK DEAL
15 July 2020

We're delighted to announce that David Stafford's first novel, period thriller, SKELTON'S GUIDE TO DOMESTIC POISONS is published in hardback and ebook by Allison & Busby on 17th Septbember. It's book one in a two-book deal for what we hope will be a long running series. Unassuming Yorkshireman, Arthur Skelton, is one of the most celebrated and recognisable barristers in the land. His success in the high-profile Dryden case - 'the scandal of 1929' - catapulted him to the front pages of the national newspapers. His services are now much in demand and, after careful consideration, he agrees to defend Mary Dutton. Dubbed 'The Collingford Poisoner' by the press, Mary is accused of poisoning her husband after years of abuse. Together with his trusted assistant, Skelton digs deeper and discovers that secrets and lies run deep in the Dutton family and all is not as it appears. It's available to order from Waterstones here: https://www.waterstones.com/book/skeltons-guide-to-domestic-poisons/david-stafford/9780749026738
